Brooks Hatch

Brooks Hatch has covered college, high school and community sports for the Corvallis Gazette-Times since moving to Oregon from Bismarck, N.D., in October, 1984. He and his wife, Margi Dusek, and his son, Owen, love living in a great neighborhood on their lower Timberhill cul-de-sac.

He’s a native of the Buffalo suburb of East Aurora, N.Y., the quintessential American small town, and a 1976 graduate of the University of Richmond (Go Spiders!). He also worked at the Minot (N.D.) Daily News before heading south to Bismarck and thence to Corvallis.
